A child-friendly waiting zone isn’t a corner with a toy box. It’s a clinical design decision.

• Visible from adult seating — parents supervise without standing
• Rubber flooring, rounded furniture, antimicrobial surfaces — not aesthetics, infection control
• Activity zoned by age: 0–3, 3–7, 7–12 — each with different spatial and sensory needs
• Dedicated HVAC zone, minimum 6 ACH, child-height sanitiser station at entry
